A 36-year-old man is in a critical condition at the Lautoka Hospital after he jumped out of a moving vehicle near Qereqere along Valley Road, Sigatoka last evening.

The man, believed to be drunk at the time of the incident, opened the door of the twin cab and jumped out, receiving injuries.

He was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital by the driver of the same vehicle and later transferred to Lautoka Hospital.

Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu told Newswire the man and the driver of the vehicle were not related.

They didn’t have an argument, he was just drunk so he jumped out.  They were not related, but are from the same village.
