Qiliho: All necessary security measures implemented

The Fiji Police Force confirmed that all necessary security measures are being implemented ahead of the national celebrations at the ANZ Stadium this morning.

In a statement, the Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho also urged members of the public  not to be swayed or influenced by certain individuals who are trying to taint the celebrations.

Brig-Gen Qiliho urged people to come and support our victorious team.

QILIHO: “We urge everyone to come in numbers and show your support and as I have assured members of the public we are ensuring all bases are covered.

Brig-Gen Qiliho said members of the friendly forces are again out in numbers this morning and the team from Skyward Industries Limited of Nadi is also at the celebrations venue with a drone already deployed to ensure maximum visibility.

QILIHO: “At the same time you can help us by prioritizing the safety of your loved ones and property as this could also be an opportune time for criminal elements to strike.”

“Let’s work together to ensure the national celebrations are incident free.”
