Police officers in Taveuni discovered a farm alleged to be marijuana during their search for a missing person at Lamini Village yesterday.

The team of police officers were searching for a 98-year-old man who was reported to be missing during Cyclone Winston when they discovered 5 plants ranging from 1.5 to 3 meters in height at a farm in the area.

The plants have been uprooted and are expected to be sent for analysis soon.

The owner of the farm is yet to be established as investigations continue into the matter.
