Inquiries into possible negligence on the part of Police officers have begun following complaints by residents affected by recent multiple burglaries in Narere.

Police Chief Operations Officer, ACP Rusiate Tudravu says the Fiji Police Force is trying to determine why the officers did not to take any action when particular reports were lodged.

ACP Tudravu said they would also try to find out if there were improper classification of reports by officers.

Tudravu has issued a directive to the Divisional Police Commander Southern to take necessary disciplinary action against Police officers who were found to be neglecting their duties.

The Force has received seven reports of burglaries from Narere since November last year.
