The white fiberglass boat that was drifting out at sea carrying six passengers has been found.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the boat reached Gau safely last night.

NAISORO: “The six passengers on board are safe.”

The boat left Batiki yesterday for Gau.

Police are searching for a white fiberglass boat that left Batiki this morning for Gau and is believed to be drifting out at sea.

Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu said the boat with six passengers on board was expected to reach Gau by midday and is yet to arrive by this afternoon.

WEICAVU: “Mariners are requested to look out for the missing boat.”

“Nearby islands in the Lomaiviti group are also requested to look out for this drifting boat.”
