An 11-year-old student of Saweni Lautoka is now admitted at the Lautoka hospital with serious injuries after he was bumped by a private vehicle driven by a 53-year-old businessman at Saweni along the Queens road last night.

Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu said the victim was walking along the road, suddenly ran across when he was chased by some dogs when he got hit.

Dog owners are warned to keep their dogs inside their compound and not to allow them to wander around in public to avoid such incident from happening again.

Inspector Weicavu said the driver will be questioned once the victim’s medical report is obtained.
