A 34-year-old woman was sentenced to 15-days imprisonment for drunk driving in November last year.

Apikali Beta Raicebe was fined $300 and will spend 15 days behind bars.

The Fiji Roads Authority officer appeared before Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage at the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.

Police Prosecution said that Raicebe was driving along Princes Road in Tamavua on the 29th of November last year when her vehicle went off the road. Police reported that upon investigation, Raicebe smelt strongly of alcohol.

Raicebe pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 15-days imprisonment.

The first-time offender also received a 4-months suspension on her driving license.
