Suva businesswoman, Mere Samisoni, and two other men appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court today charged with one count of urging political violence.

Samisoni, Semisi Lasike and Apete Vereti are charged with one count each of urging political violence.

It is alleged the three urged one Waisea Kaloumaira to burn down the City of Suva in December, five years ago.

It is also alleged in 2011, between the months of September and December the trio intentionally conspired to overthrow the government by force of violence.

The court heard that one of the accused person’s would be called forth for cross-examination.
