The Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Christopher Pryde, has sanctioned charges against a financial institution under the Trust Accounts Act 1996.

In a statement, the DPP said the Bank of the South Pacific (BSP) is charged with failing to comply with the requirements of opening a trust account contrary to section 3 (1) (c) of the Trust Accounts Act 1996.

The matter will be called for First Mention on Thursday, 1 September 2016 at the Suva Magistrates’ Court.
