Some dental services are disrupted at Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva due to issues with technical equipment.

A health ministry statement said:

The health ministry today advised the public that the Dental Department at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWM) is facing disruptions with its services due to the breakdown of a machine.

Conservative treatment or “fillings” will not be carried out at CWM Hospital.

Patients requiring this service are kindly advised to visit the dental school at FNU and dental clinics at Raiwaqa, Valelevu, Makoi and Lami where they will be accommodated.

This is a temporary arrangement as the new machine is being installed and full services will be restored by the end of this month.

All other services will be carried out as normal.

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services is committed to fixing this service as soon as possible.
