The Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services, Dr. Maciusela Tuicakau, has resigned from Government.

In a statement, Public Service Commission chairman Mr Vishnu Mohan said Dr. Tuicakau’s duties will be assumed with immediate effect in an acting capacity by the Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mr. Josefa Koroivueta until a substantive appointment can be made.

MOHAN: “We thank Dr. Tuicakau for his public service in Government and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Dr. Tuicakau was appointed in December 2015 after acting in the post.
