Children of the Dilkusha Home in Nausori received a boost yesterday when Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Honourable Faiyaz S. Koya presented them with stationeries and Fiji Made merchandises.

While presenting the donation, Koya told the children who would be attending school this week that his success was a result of the kind of teachers he said.

He said teachers play a vital role as children are left under their care for eight hours a day.

Koya said teachers are responsible for childerns academic development as well as charged with ensuring they become responsible citizens.

Permanent Secretary Industry and Trade, Shaheen Ali said the items were worth $5,000 and confirmed the ministry would continue with such donations.

Dilkusha Home provides shelter to 31 girls and 4 boys.
