Responding to a question from Newswire on whether his responsibilities had increased since being Acting PM, Usamate said his “days have been normal.”
“Normally in Government, there are civil servants who run the ministries, if there are major issues that need to be [addressed] at the level of policy, then it would be addressed to me, but normally Government moves on.”
“In the individual ministries there are other acting ministers looking after the ministries, and at the same time, we have the civil servants maintaining the functions in Government.”
“So, it’s just business as usual.”
