Fiji must continue to inculcate a greater sense of true friendship, patriotism and lasting unity among Fiji’s multiethnic communities, says His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konousi Konrote.

Speaking at the 80th And 30th Anniversary Banquet Of The Yat Sen Primary And Secondary Schools, His Excellence said:

“The new Fiji that we are building is one of unfettered national unity where our children, grandchildren, and future generations know only of one human race, and how to respect and care for each other.”

“Our young and developing Nation will be the ultimate winner if we continue to promote Government’s Vision of One Nation and One People, a deep sense of Pride and Oneness as evidenced by the whole nation when we came together to recently welcome our heroes and celebrate their historic achievement by winning the 7s Rugby Gold Medal in the Rio Olympic Games.”
