National Trainers Conference kicks-off
The National Trainers Conference of the National Training and Productivity Centre of the Fiji National University kicked-off this morning with a record 130 participants.
Chief Guest, FNU Chancellor Mr. Iqbal Janiff, said that training and development to increase human capacity was the key objective of any business and should not be overlooked.
“I acknowledge the Government for making training and education available to all sectors and also thank NTPC and business organisations in their effort to raise competency levels of our workforce,” said Mr. Janiff.
Mr. Janiff said that bold and creative champions were needed to drive the training needs of the future.
“Through our programmes and the capacity of FNU staff we are able to assist the industry to adapt the changes ahead,” he said
Acting Director of NTPC Mr. Peni Taoi said the annual conference started with 60 participants in 2015 and has become an important forum for trainers and engage and share practices.
Deputy Director of NTPC Mr. Satendra Nair said the conference will provide insights into training developments and help trainers and industry in better building their workforce.
