The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) has received full international accreditation from the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) for its Certificate III in Commercial Cookery qualification.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery qualification prepares students with a wide range of specialised skills in food preparation and service in a commercial kitchen. The training involves developing discretion, judgment and sound knowledge of kitchen operations.

Director of Pacific TAFE, Mr Hasmukh Lal said that the accreditation is a strong indication of the high quality skills based qualification provided by Pacific TAFE.

He added that students who complete the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery will have a competitive advantage when seeking employment opportunities in their own countries and even internationally.
