A Suva man has found close to two thousand dollars lying on a street in Suva and is eager to return it to whoever lost it.

Mr. Shardanand Dutt visited Newswire today and said he found the cash at Suva’s Knolly Street on Wednesday.  Three other acquaintances were with him at the time.

Mr Dutt immediately posted his findings on Facebook, offering to return the cash to its owner.  He intentionally left out details such as the exact amount and sequence of bills.

I believe whoever owns this money knows exactly those specifics because it was folded accordingly.

However, Mr. Dutt’s Facebook post resulted in various claims to reclaim the money.  Mr. Dutt said he had no choice but to report his findings to police and deposit the cash in their care.

Newswire has seen a copy of the police report.  Please contact the Totogo Police Station (formerly Central Police Station) in Suva to reclaim your lost cash.  Vinaka Mr. Dutt.
