The Damodar Group of Companies this week handed over a $66,000 cheque to WowsKids Fiji following his campaign to raise funds for children and families suffering with cancer.

Company CEO, Mr Div Damodar concluded his five months of fundraising on 19th November with a “Shave or Save” event by shaving his head with other volunteers.

Div wanted to make a real difference and to bring others together to make a real difference in the treatment of kids with cancer in Fiji and improve overall services in our hospitals for these children

DAMODAR: “I’d like to thank everyone who has been with me for every step of my campaign over the past five months. Wowskids Fiji is doing a tremendous job, and it gives me great pleasure to be the lead campaigner this year for this worthy cause. Whilst my campaign is over, I am happy to say that I will still be involved in charity work and along with keeping in touch with Wowskids Fiji.”

WowsKids Fiji interim team leader, Maka Wilson said, “We appreciate the leadership that Div and the Damodar Group is providing the business community to support issues like Children with cancer – it is inspiring.

Taholo Kami – WOWS Kids Founder said, “I appreciate what Div has done in putting his hair and image as well as the resources and time into raising awareness and funds to support WOWS – we look forward to continuing partnership into the future.”
