Their crime spree started on Thursday night last week when they robbed a 37-year-old man of cash and a mobile phone in Tavakubu in Lautoka.  The group fled in the victim’s car, later found abandoned in Tavua.

In Tavua, the group assaulted a 30-year-old man, stole his vehicle and headed into Nadi.

They raided the Best West Kava shop in Nadi and took cash, cigarettes and recharge cards before fleeing in yet another car, later found abandoned in Momi.

A police task team on their trail captured the quartet shortly after.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the group, aged between 22 and 42, will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court today and charged with aggravated robbery and theft of motor vehicle.
