A team of officers from the Criminal Investigations Department headquarters in Suva are currently in the North and the accused has been charged with one count of theft, one count of money laundering and one count of arson.

It is alleged that the former Post Fiji employee had stolen more than $40,000 and had been sending the money overseas not realising she was getting caught in an online scam.

When she failed to get her money back she allegedly set fire to the Post office to cover her tracks.  She is currently in custody and will be produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court on Monday.
