The Westpac Banking Corporation handed over a cheque of $70,000 for this year’Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Australia Fiji Branch Congress in conjunction with Vodafone Fiji.

For the Fifth year running, Westpac Banking Corporation together with their business partners Vodafone Fiji Limited handed over their sponsorship cheque of $70,000 for the yearly congress that is attended by influential policy makers, business professionals, executives, and members of the congress.

Westpac General Manager Mr Brett Hooker said by supporting events such as the CPA Congress, Westpac as an organization provides an opportunity to assist participants to get a deeper understanding of the current business environment and ways to efficiently run businesses and improve to deliver the best possible solution.

HOOKER: ” The Congress promises two days of dynamic and impactful speakers from a diverse range of industries. Decision makers and business professionals will benefit from their presentation and structured discussions. Congress participants should take advantage of this opportunity of relationship building within the corporate and business sector. This is truly benefiting with this years theme ” Connecting the biggest mind”.”

The CPA Council President Mr Shaneel Nandan said the event has gained momentum year after year with the support from Vodafone and Westpac.

NANDAN: “This is the 8th successive year for CPA Congress in Fiji. The Congress hosts many with local and international spectrum of speakers. We are proud to be associated with two major brands in Fiji. And this grand event has gained momentum year-after-year with the backing and support from Vodafone and Westpac”

Mr Hooker said in August this year the bank will celebrate its 115th year of existence in Fiji.

The 2016 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Australia Fiji Branch Congress will be held on the 1st and 2nd of September at the Shangri-La Fijian Resort.
