Vodafone marks World Physiotherapy Day

Vodafone staff joined with Ministry of Health to mark World Physiotherapy day at Vodafone’s Head Office in Tamavua today.

With the theme “Movement for Health. Add Life to Years”, the teams joined in pumping aerobics session. Also present were the Physio team from the Colonial War Memorial Hospital to elaborate on the importance of physical activity to stay healthy and physical therapy at the workplace.

This is an effort to reinforce the importance of incorporating physical activity in the workplace as well as in the daily lives of individuals and practicing “safe” exercise especially for beginners, said Vodafone’s Chief Marketing Officer, Rajnesh Prasad.

We promote healthy living and an energetic working environment. To complement our staff efforts to keep fit and healthy, Vodafone’s Head Office has a full-set gym.

The fun-filled aerobics session was enjoyed by the Vodafone Staff and Physio team from CWM Hospital.

Acting Superintendent of Physiotherapy, Judith Kotobalavu thanked Vodafone Fiji for accepting and partnering to celebrating this important day for all Physiotherapists’ across the world. This initiative from the CWM Physio team is to engage corporates in leading an active lifestyle and that adding life to years of people through the Wellness Program.

We are glad that Vodafone is our partner in leading a productive workforce, we congratulate Vodafone is championing the initiative and encourage other corporates to follow suit.

Mr. Prasad acknowledged Ministry of Health, Management, Superintendent of the CWM Hospital for endorsing the initiative and the Physio team for engaging our staff and boosting the energy level. Let’s all work towards a healthy and productive Fiji.
