The Minister of Industry, Trade, Tourism, Land and Mineral Resources Hon. Faiyaz Siddiq Koya has stressed that integrity is one of the most critical components in the Fijian Tourism industry.

KOYA: “There are only three words that describe the value of the Fijian Tourism industry – that is integrity, integrity, integrity. This is the kind of commitment that we expect from everyone who leaves universities and joins the industry.  This is an industry with so much more variety that makes you more knowledgeable, strengthens your persona and builds your ability to speak in public.”

Hon. Koya stressed that the country’s greatest asset is the people, and that is not a statement that is made lightly.

KOYA: “You must be able to value add to the Fijian Tourism Industry; value adds to what is already available by thinking outside the box, and we value your input and encourage you to expand your horizons, elevate yourselves, be inspired and be an inspiration.”

The annual fair gave an opportunity for tourism stakeholders to speak directly to students for job placements and provided insights to students on the criterion of the industry that they are currently studying.
