Kontiki Growth Fund (KGF) is now trading on the South Pacific Stock Exchange as Kinetic Growth Fund Limited.

According to the company’s chairperson, Mr Eric Larson, the name-change was voted by shareholders at the company’s annual general meeting in June and part of an arrangement made between the board and Kontiki Finance Limited.

LARSON: “After negotiation and consultation with Kontiki Capital, which launched KGF twelve years ago, the Board and Kontiki Finance came up with a compensation agreement: KGF would receive 30,000 shares in Kontiki Finance for changing its name.”

Mr Larson explained that the transaction should increase KGF’s net asset value by between $45,000 and $50,000.

LARSON:“We like that the name conveys something of our approach to investing—kinetic energy is the work to accelerate an object. KGF’s approach to investing increasingly emphasizes the value that we can create in partnering with investee companies to achieve superior growth.”

The new name has been registered by the Registrar of Companies and is now in effect.

The trading code for Kinetic Growth Fund Limited remains the same and continues to trade as “KGF” on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.
