Pacific Cement Limited (PCL) has recorded a total sale of 150,561 tons with close to 104,000 sold locally.

In a statement, General Manager, Sowani Tuidrola said this figure is a reflection of the confidence placed in their product as well as the demand and growth of Fiji on a national level.

Tuidrola reveals that since taking office a year ago, total sales have risen by 19% to over 150,000 tons and with the current budgetary allocations as well as the Government’s way forward, more records will be made.

With a realignment and shift in their focus, PCL has managed to produce an average of 500 tons per working day.

Sowani said that they export container loads of cement to countries such as:

  • Vanuatu
  • Tonga
  • Samoa
  • Tarawa
  • Solomon Islands
  • Cook Islands
  • Wallis and Futuna
  • Papua New Guinea
  • Timor Leste

PCL is a subsidiary of Fijian Holdings Limited.

Pacific Cement started operations in 1962 and today is the only cement producing company with international accreditations.
