The 20th National Convention on Quality (NCQ) kicked off this morning at the Novotel Hotel in Lami.

With the theme “Prosperity through Productivity” the convention will field a number of Quality Circles presenting on quality initiatives that have made a difference to their organisations.

Fiji National University’s (FNU) Acting Vice Chancellor Ian Rouse said:

This year’s theme resonates with Fiji’s aspirations towards fostering productivity and innovation in its pursuit of further growth and development.

Today it is widely agreed that quality, productivity and innovation are the key drivers that create new wealth.

Fijian organizations must be willing to relook at how things are done. with a view to improving their people, processes and products. All the time!

The NCQ has for the past 20 years provided the forum for discussion and learning on improving productivity through the use of techniques like Quality Control Circles (QCC) and become a flagship event for the National Training and Productivity Centre of the FNU.
